Announcements for Class Meetings:
Bullying Prevention Week: 8/17/15-8/21/15
-Kick off Day: August 14, 2015-
We will hold our annual ASU Prep Bully Prevention Kick off during the Friday Assemblies on August 14, 2015. It is important that you go over the School's Anti-Bullying Rules on a classroom level sometime during the day on Friday, August 14th. We also have a couple of activities that we want each class to participate in. Please see below.
School Wide Activity: Lets Link Together to Stop Bullying
Directions: Each student will finish the sentence "I will stop bullying by..." on a strip of paper in his/her homeroom or foundation class. Paper strips will be provided by the Olweus/Leader in Me Committee. The strips will be in your box by Thursday, August 13th. Each class can will be expected to link their chains together and turn their chain into Erica Brown by Friday, August 14th, to be hung in the hallway.
Classroom Activity:
Directions: Ask the students to visualize what peace looks like to them. Ask your students, "When you close your eyes, and you think of peace what do you see?" Have them write their ideas on a Post-it note and cover your door with the Post-it notes. You can do this activity during your Friday, August 14th class meeting, or if you run out of time, do it sometime the following week.
