Hello ASU Prep Sundevils,

My name is Erin Nielsen.  I am the Dean of Students, 6-8, and the School Counselor, K-5, at the ASU Preparatory Academy Polytechnic Schools. I started the counseling program at the ASU Prep Poly campus in 2013 using the ASCA National Model as a framework.  I am proud that the counseling program has grown to 4 counselors over our 2 poly campuses.  I earned my Masters degree in Psychology with an emphasis in School Counseling from Utah State University. 

When I hang my school counselor hat at the end of the day I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dane, and three children, Logan (13), Layla (10), and Emerson (7).  I am blessed to have all three of my children attend ASU Prep Academy with me.  I love that I get to take my children to work with me every day.  We love going to the movies, playing card games and having impromptu dance parties in the living room as a family.  We took time this summer to enjoy our extended families in California and Utah. 

I am looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year!
