Habit 6: Synergize

Parent Resources- *The information below comes from 'The Leader in Me' Parent Guide.
Synergy is when two or more people work together to create a better solution than either would have thought of alone. It's not your way or my way, but a better way. Synergy is taking good ideas by making them better by working together.
Younger-Child Activities
1. Read Chapter 6 of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids with your child and complete the Parent's Corner, if you have the book.
2. With your child, choose a problem you may have (curfew, chores, homework, etc.) Use the Synergy Action Plan to summarize your child's solution and your solutions. See if you can reach a better solution than either of you would have come up with alone.
Synergy Action Plan:
-Define the problem
-Share your views
-Think of solutions
-Choose the best solution together
3. Institute a "15 minute program" where everyone drops what they are doing and pitches in to work as a team to clean the kitchen, pull weeds in the garden, wash dishes, etc.
